I started doing Zentangle in October 2014. Before that, I never believed myself to be an artist of any kind, always saying, “I can’t even draw a straight line with a ruler!”
As it turns out, I just never found a medium that allowed me to be artistic. I’m fairly meticulous and detail oriented, and Zentangle’s philosophy of “Anything is possible, one line at a time!” has really made it possible for me to feel like an artist.
On June 17, 2015, our car was broken into, and the backpack with my laptop in it was stolen. Also in the backpack was EVERY SINGLE ZENTANGLE piece I had done so far! It was heartbreaking. I had pictures of a few of the pieces I’d done, but had quite a stack that are gone forever. That led me to decide to post the pictures on my Facebook page, but now I’ve decided that this is an even better place.
